We were looking for someone to photograph my 17 month old daughter and make a family portrait. We met Anita in Prospect Park and had a wonderful experience. She was very patient with our daughter and the fact that we had three separate outfits for her. As you can imagine, our daughter had no desire to sit around and pose for pictures but Anita managed to keep her attention and get some fabulous shots. I can't recommend her highly enough. We will be visiting with her on an annual basis and for any large events that we host.Thanks again Anita!

Anita took pictures of me and my son the day before Mother's Day. I was so happy with the results that I'm STILL having trouble deciding between all of the sweet faces she was able to capture. My son also has oddly colored eyes - sometimes blue, sometimes brown or green. They always look brown in my photos. She was able to get at just the right lighting and angle to show how unique they are. The day of the shoot was really flexible - a must with little ones. She comes to you, or you can go to a site you might have in mind.  I am also not typically photogenic, but Anita helped make me feel comfortable and I'm glad to finally have some photos with my baby that I am happy to show off.

Anita Maffei is a fantastic photographer and a local Brooklyn mom. Her work is beautiful, inspired, and never corny, which I find hard to achieve in nowadays professional photography. She does family and individual portraits, and pretty much everything else too.

I want to pass along a great photographer recommendation. I recently worked with Anita Maffei and she is truly wonderful. She photographed my 11 month old and 2 year old - juggling both with such ease! She will come to your home or location of your preference. Reasonable rates and the turn over time was very quick. I received such lovely, natural, candid photos of my little ones that Iabsolutely treasure.

I'm organizing our family photos which reminded me I've been meaning to recommend far and wide the professional photographer Anita Maffei.  She took photos of our family in Prospect Park in the fall and, though our two young boys had no interest in sitting still, she managed to capture some wonderful photos of them and of our whole family.  She has a great way with kids, and just let us be us which really comes across in the images.  In our 6 years as parents, these are the only photos my husband and I have with our kids in which not only are we all looking at the camera, we all also look calm and happy.

Anita Maffei took photos of our 6-day-old last week. She was fantastic! Anita made a visit before the shoot to discuss the lighting and set-up of our apartment. On the day of the shoot, she was extremely patient as our newborn decided to be a bit of a diva and rebel at any attempts at posing. Amazingly, despite his protestations, the finished product was beautiful! I'm not sure how Anita did it, but she was able to capture great shots of a sweet, mellow baby between the meltdowns.

I'd like to add another recommendation to the long list of those for Anita Maffei for family photos. Anita did both a maternity and baby shoot with our family and went above and beyond to get great pictures. When I foolishly scheduled the baby shoot during the witching hour and ended up with 2 screaming kids the whole time, Anita graciously reshot later in the month (and earlier in the morning this time!) at no cost to us.We love the photos and can't wait to see our favorite on the wall. The prints she made for us are spectacular and she was so great to work with that I can't recommend her enough. She led us in a way that let us get awesome, spontaneous photos. If you're looking for natural, cool family photos, call her! Her rates are extremely reasonable and she worked with our schedule, our home etc. She even came and scouted the light in advance so she knew what she'd be working with on the day of the shoot. Super professional, and also a really nice person who I'm so glad I've gotten to know!
